  • The Discover phase was dedicated to gathering insights and understanding the problem space. It was a crucial step to identify the needs and pain points of users and aligning with business goals at the same time. I used several research methods in this phase, including:

    • Collaborating with cross functional teams to chalk out the current flow

    • Gathering and Reviewing business requirements

    • Benchmarking our current experience with industry tools like Baymard

    • Performing competitive analysis of industry leading websites

    • Performing gap analysis of current flow using above outcomes

    • Review of website analytics and aligning on expected KPIs

  • This Define phase was dedicated to synthesizing the insights from the research phase to help frame the problem and start to ideate with clear goals and direction in mind. My objective was to create implementable and usable design flows that solve user problems. Several steps were taken during this phase like

    • Sketching and prototyping user journeys

    • Setting up multiple rounds of reviews within and across teams to ensure design is heading in the right direction

    • Re-calibrating the flows and prototype to incorporate feedback from teams

    • Getting alignment on the MVP, fast follows and future enhancements

  • The Develop phase focused on refining and evolving the design concepts generated in the previous phase keeping in mind the existing design system and included steps like

    • Building crisp usable UI Designing with clear CTAs

    • Update Design System with new and updated components as required

    • Incorporating useful user interactions that helped users complete their tasks faster

    • Multiple rounds of reviews with Development and Product team

    • Keen focus on identified Project Scope

    • Effective Design Handoff with all required and applicable designs
